RECREATION PROGRAM

WHERE EVERY KID GETS TO RISE

HomeBase's Recreational Program has grown and evolved significantly over the past five years. Through consistent participation and engagement, the program has helped increase youth confidence, motivation, and commitment. The growth has strengthened the sense of community among our youth. 

Recreation Program

The  Recreation Program is extremely successful and gives all youth the opportunity to participate. Having daily recreational activities planned, organized, and marketed in a timely manner support any youth that accessed our programs.  The Recreation Program will include daily, structured recreational activities such as going to the gym, playing sports  and games, going on day trips, hosting bonfires, going to community events, going to the theatre, hosting movie nights, hosting themed parties, going snowboarding, skiing, biking, hiking, canoeing, etc.

Program Events

The program runs six days a week, from Monday to Sunday, offering a wide range of activities such as soccer, basketball, skating, and swimming.
In addition to sports, the program includes creative and social opportunities like craft nights, movie nights, bowling outings.
These experiences are designed to bring youth together in a supportive environment that encourages self-expression, team working, and positive relationship-building.

The recreation program provides the following benefits:

​

-  activities for youth to be engaged in during the   evenings and weekends 

​

-  a good support group, thus giving youth   opportunity to develop relationships with caring   adults who they can rely on

​

-  a supervised activity where youth can spend   time with friends in a safe environment 

​

-  regular outlets to spend their time and energy 

​

-  opportunities to learn new skills (such as   weightlifting, boxing, skiing, etc.) and focus on   new interests
