Emergency Youth Shelter

The Emergency Shelter is open from 8 pm - 12 pm every day of the year. Youth aged 12 - 18 can stay at the emergency shelter at any time. They have access to food and showers and a warm place to sleep. Youth can also get clothing and other essential items that they need at the emergency shelter.

With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Home Base YK reduced its emergency youth shelter capacity from 10 to 6 beds. The emergency shelter consists of 2 sleeping rooms, one shared bathroom, and one seating / dining space for youth.
