"Hello, my name is Tammy Roberts and I began in the position of Executive Director for the organization in November 2020. I am grateful to be in this role at Home Base YK. In my life and work I have developed relationships with many amazing youth, and I continue to work towards improved services in Yellowknife, so no youth is ever left out.

I've been a professional parent since 1991, providing emergency and long term care to approximately 250 NWT foster children and youth with mild to extreme learning and behavioural disabilities. I continue to provide long-term care to individuals that have been prenatally exposed to drugs and alcohol as a foster and adoptive parent.

I am also the Executive Director of the Foster Family Coalition of the Northwest Territories, and have been since 2009. I am currently the president of the Legion in Yellowknife, the secretary of the Canadian Foster Family Association, and the co-chair of the CanFASD Research Network Family Advisory Committee. In my spare time I love hanging out with my family and enjoying the outdoors."
