Mental Health is a process, not a destination

Youth Mental Health & Wellness Program
Youth 12 - 24 can connect to mental health and wellness support through Home Base's Mental Health and Wellness Coordinator (MHWC).
Programming is intentionally designed to be inclusive, strengths-based, and trauma-informed.
Our main focus for this program is:
-
Mental Health Education Workshops
-
In-House One-On-One Support
-
Community Referrals

The Mental Health & Wellness Program (MHWP) also aims to meet all youth where they are at and can help with:
-
General Mental Health Education and Support
-
Navigating the Medical/Mental health system
-
Substance use education and support
-
Self-Care & Wellness promotion strategies

Mental Health Education Workshops :
In-House One-On-One Support
Community Referrals :
-
Youth can access the MHWC to create an individualized support plan.
-
Interactive sessions that raise awareness, reduce stigma, and teach essential life skills related to emotional regulation, stress management, and self care.
-
Referrals to wider community supports, such as counselling, medical appointments, addictions support, support groups, etc. The Mental Health & Wellness Coordinator will also work with youth to address and remove barriers to services
(i.e. transportation, scheduling appointments, reminders).
